District Heating - Environmental

Rindi delivers district heating produced to environmentally correct standards. The largest environmental gain is that we replace our customers’ requirements of oil (to a large extent) or electricity. Our production is based on about 97 % of biofuel usage.

It is important to us that our production facilities operate as efficiently as possible with both minimum use of raw materials and emissions to the atmosphere. We have therefore installed a flue-gas condenser at all our plants which means that the exhaust gases contain considerably less particles and most importantly 20% less fuel is utilized.

The overall environmental efficiency is affected by how well our customers’ installations work. Through a well functioning customer installation the customer additionally lowers the environmental effects.

We have a so called ”environmental control program” for each Rindi operating facility in order to ensure that there is no unnecessary negative effect on the environment.
